Name: Paula Carrinho
Position: Travel Consultant, Clube Viajar
Village: Ancas
I live in Ancas, a village right in the center of Bairrada, with about 600 inhabitants.
In my village there are no shopping centers, cinema or stadiums…
In my village there is fresh air, vineyards and more vineyards, a natural lagoon and the sound of crickets at dusk!
In my village there are “Good days”, “Good afternoons” and “Good nights”…
From my village we can see the Serra do Buçaco and smell the sea of Costa Nova ...
When someone comes to visit my village, we offer smiles and hospitality and then we eat a "chanfan"a in a wood oven and blackberries in the “Restaurante Retiro”…
5 minutes away, we visit the Aliança Underground Museum in Sangalhos or the Wine Museum in Anadia and taste the famous piglet Bairrada in the restaurant “Mugasa”…
30 minutes to the north we travel through the channels of the Aveiro estuary and enjoy the delicious "ovos moles"…
30 minutes to the south, we have Coimbra, the students' city, Portugal dos Pequenitos, taste some Tentúgal pastries and enjoy the languor of the river Mondego running on the terrace…
In my village old traditions are fulfilled and new ones are invented !! In my village there are laundries of old and Urban Art of today…
There may not be much, but my Village smells of Life and Peace!
