The suspended pedestrian bridge, still under construction, is over the Paiva River and will have a span of 516 meters and a height of 175 meters, with a deck width of 1.20 meters. It is called “Arouca 516” due to its extension and it is a project with the support of the Norte 2020 Operational Program. The new attraction will integrate the existing pedestrian networks in the municipality of Arouca, where the famous Passadiços do Paiva are located.
Along the way it will be possible to enjoy not only the adrenaline, but also a breath-taking landscape characterized by intense greens, secular cork oaks, margins punctuated by yellow daisies, white flower bushes, tall stems of purple bells and a series of other species whose exact name only experts know.
